Justin is a climate and biodiversity leader with over 25 years of experience across the private sector, finance, and civil society, including roles as Partner at Just Climate and Executive Director of the Tropical Forest Alliance. Recognised with an OBE for his contributions at COP26, Justin believes a radically new approach is essential. He founded Ostara with a conviction in our collective ability to innovate and dream ‘unreasonably large dreams,’ reimagining a very different future to address the increasingly complex challenges we face today.

Nicole is a policy leader, systems change expert and author with more than 20 years experience in building communities and facilitating processes for collective action. Prior to joining Ostara, she co-headed the Nature Pillar at the World Economic Forum and advised forest and ocean conservation non-profits including National Geographic Society’s Campaign for Nature. She chairs the Forum of Young Global Leaders, and co-founded EDGE Certified Foundation — a business certification standard for gender equality in the workplace. 

Colin is a Founding Partner of Generation Investment Management. Generation was established in 2004 as a dedicated sustainable investor.  He is head of the firm’s San Francisco office and is a Trustee of The Generation Foundation. Prior to Generation, he worked for Sustainable Asset Management in Zurich, Arthur D. Little in London and TotalEnergies in Paris. Besides sitting on the Board of Directors for Ostara, he is also a Trustee of The Branson School in California. He serves on the Advisory Board of CC-Lab and the California Advisory Board of TeamGB LA28 Olympics.

Alice is leading the development of place-based regenerative finance architectures, prototyping how capital can flow differently when governance, incentives, and worldviews are reimagined. She brings over 20 years of experience in finance and technology, from Morgan Stanley’s bond markets to fintech venture building. For the past eight years, Alice has grown regenerative ventures and corporate nature programmes across agriculture, food, cosmetics, and construction. She also serves as Strategy Advisor for the Circular Bioeconomy Alliance.

Alison is a community leader with a wealth of experience in executive support, project management, team-building, and non-profit administration. She worked for many years as a program manager at Google before pivoting back to grassroots projects, co-founding Rizoma Cooperative in Lisbon and supporting Indigenous and community-led conservation work at the ICCA Consortium. She was born and raised in Seattle, now deeply rooted in Lisbon, Portugal with her partner, two young sons and a close-knit community of friends.

Daniel is leading work on market shaping for sustainable technology. Previously, he was Chief Sustainability Officer at Syngenta, a $35 billion agricultural innovation company. At the World Resources Institute, he founded the organization’s behavioural research lab, and also launched Cool Food, a program that shifts billions of meals a year towards sustainable diets. Earlier in his career, Daniel held senior roles at Procter & Gamble and Mars Inc., where he drove global brand purpose campaigns for billion-dollar brands.

Diana is a recent graduate from Oxford where she studied Biology, specialising in conservation and sustainable development, and sat on the committees of the student climate and entrepreneurship societies. She developed a riparian and wetland restoration project model at rePLANET, financed through a payment-for-ecosystem-services mechanism. Her passion for botany led her to contribute to world’s first Orobanchaceae identification book, and conducting her own research in the tropical rainforests of Borneo motivated her to work on conserving the ecosystems she loves most.

Jenny is a senior climate and finance leader, with nearly two decades experience of running major international climate policy, programmes, partnerships and teams in the public and private sectors. As HSBC’s Group Head Sustainability Policy and Partnerships, she led the bank’s Net Zero Policies, and set up strategic partnerships to drive climate, nature and just transition objectives across the industry. Previously a UK senior civil servant, Jenny led an extensive international climate finance portfolio delivering on the ground impacts in emerging economies.

Josie is a project coordinator and regenerative practitioner originally from Wellington, New Zealand. She brings operational experience from roles in government departments, nonprofits and social enterprises — delivering projects from national commemorations to youth-led panels and community-centred visitor experiences. Trained in regenerative development, Josie also brings experience in embedding living systems principles into ways of working, in addition to her work as a course designer, workshop facilitator and storyteller.

Dr Tupou-Roosen is the first woman to serve as the Director-General of the Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency (FFA). She is currently the Head of the School for Ecology and Resilience Development at the Pasifika Communities University, following her 2025 role as Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of the South Pacific. She serves on the Pacific Security College Advisory Board, the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Regenerative Blue Economy, and the Board of Trustees for the Pacific Academy of Sciences, and is also a strategic and fisheries consultant. 

Monty is a regenerative finance practitioner, community builder, and systems entrepreneur working at the intersection of Web3, AI, nature finance, and economic transformation. He is a founder and steward of ReFi DAO, a global network catalysing place-based regenerative finance communities. Across his work, Monty is focused on helping bridge frontier technologies with place-based regeneration and institutional stakeholders, asking how finance can be redesigned in service of life.

Nadia is a market shaping practitioner with over a decade and a half of experience spanning climate diplomacy, systems change and market intervention design. As Principal, she supports the design and execution of strategies that scale climate and nature-positive innovation in agriculture and aquaculture. She began her career at PwC, working on UNFCCC climate diplomacy, before joining Project X, a WWF spin-off, where she led the FEED-X programme, accelerating the adoption of sustainable aquaculture feed ingredients. At Xynteo, she designed the Build Ahead Coalition, managing multi-stakeholder partnerships, and developed market shaping mechanisms for other hard-to-abate sectors.

Noah is an engineer and social entrepreneur. He spent nine years as a Chartered Civil Engineer (MEng, CEng MICE) at Arup’s Advanced Technology & Research team, working on complex engineering projects including Coal Drops Yard, a £100m heritage transformation at King’s Cross. Since then, he has focused on building mission-driven organisations from the ground up — including serving as Project Director for Plum Village UK, where he helped deliver a £4m retreat centre in two years, drawing together a community of 2,000 supporters from 45 countries. Noah is a meditator and keen swimmer, and has a young family.

Sarah has worked as a project manager, senior consultant and partner in the renewable energy sector for world-leading investors and lenders for nine years. Following a transformative experience at the Schumacher College, she developed a passion for the human-nature relationship and regenerative paradigm. She studied eco-community design and founded The Avalonia Project, missioned to rekindle the relationship between humans and nature to address both ecological and wellbeing crises with a practical, poetic and holistic approach.

Toby is a senior researcher and thought leader with 25 years’ experience working at the interface between research, policy and practice on sustainable agriculture, land-use, commodity trade and conservation. In 2015 he co-founded Trase (www.trase.earth) as a science-based supply chain transparency initiative that today is widely recognised as a go-to source of independent open-access data and intelligence on the sustainability of international trade. He has contributed to a wide range of international environmental policy processes and has worked extensively on the ground on sustainable land-use in the Brazilian Amazon. He has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications and in 2012 was awarded the biannual British Ecological Society’s Founders’ Prize for significant contributions to the science of ecology.
